As you might see—at least if you have been here before—, the website has been completely redesigned. And beyond that most of you might wonder why they can understand what is written all of a sudden. Yeh, you may have noticed that I started writing in English.
I had already been thinking about changing the language of my website into English for quite some time. As most of my visitors come from countries which are not German speaking, it seemed kind of nearby. Actually, the statistics of April 2010 said that 50% of all visitors came from the US, 13% from China, and only 7% from Germany. There you go!
As for the design: The old one had been online for about five years. For me it looked uglier every year. So it was high time for a rework. It took me nearly two months and I hope you’ll like it.
Ab sofort gibt es einen extra Alex Due Podcast (mit iTunes abonnieren) im gültigen iTunes-Format. Zwar kann man prinzipiell den normalen WordPress-RSS-Feed auch als Podcast abonnieren, allerdings funktioniert das leider nicht ganz fehlerfrei. Daher stelle ich ab sofort einen manuell erstellten Podcast zur Verfügung.

Es waren etliche Stunden Arbeit nötig, um die Seite zu rekonstruieren. Teilweise war ich daran natürlich selbst schuld, da ich nur ganz gelgentlich Backups angelegt hatte. Zum Glück war die Datenbank – und damit die Seiteninhalte – nicht betroffen, aber es waren ja alle FTP-Dateien futsch. Read the rest of this entry »
Am 30. Dezember fand ein Hackerangriff auf den Server dieser Seite statt. Dabei wurden leider alle FTP-Daten gelöscht. Aus diesem Grund sind zur Zeit keine Menü-Punkte außer des Blogs verfügbar.

Ich gebe ja zu, dass in den Neuigkeiten bisher nicht wirklich viel zu lesen war. Aber ich finde das Typo3-Newssystem (tt_news) auch nicht besonders komfortabel. Also musste was neues her. Der Renner sind ja zur Zeit WordPress-Blogs, also warum nicht WordPress? Wohl, weil die gesamte restliche Website auf Typo3 läuft und ich eine WordPress-Extension für Typo3 trotz intensiver Suche noch nicht gefunden. Eine solche Extension wäre wohl auch ein mehr oder weniger sinnvolles Unterfangen. Read the rest of this entry »
