Today moby announced the release of his new album “Destroyed” which will come out around the middle of may. He describes it as broken down melodic electronic music for empty cities at 2 a.m.
In addition he released a three track EP called “Be The One” as a free download. A confirmation e-mail with the download link will be sent to your e-mail address … like it seems to be common usage when commercial artists give away some of their music for free.
For each of the three tracks from the EP, moby made a video clip consisting of shots me made with a little camcorder while traveling. All are linked in his blog post. One of them is here:

You can download the new single for free from their website. But only for 48 hours which probably started sometime on Feburary 9th. So be quick.
You have to leave a valid e-mail address because the download link will be sent to it. Moreover you have to enter a date of birth and a country.
Only a few minutes ago I found this mix by “Death To The Throne“. He took part in Metric’s remix contest and won the Grand Prize for his remix of “Twilight Galaxy“. Awesome!

I found another cool track on SoundCloud. It’s not Creative Commons licensed, but available for download anyway.
You can download the song “Gimme Sympathy” by the Canadian indie rock band “Metric” from their website. Leave your e-mail address and they’ll send you the link. To be honest, I’ve never heard of them before. But I like this song! Maybe I’ll even buy the album “Fantasies”.
